Howdy! So this is me...your typical girl next door? Or not. I'd like to think I'm a little more interesting, but I'm probably bias. So why do I have this blog, you might ask...what's so "extraordinary" about me that might make people want to read my insane and, sometimes preposterous, thoughts? Well nothing really; guess you just have to be curious, a good friend of mine, or I'm paying you on the side to read this stuff. But that's neither here nor there. In a nutshell, I'm Texas born, Texas raised, and Texas proud now living in a little western Okee town they like to call Elk City, Oklahoma. Life was good back in Allen, Texas where I've been living since I graduated from Texas A&M (Whoop!) in May of 2009. I had myself a nice apartment right next to a brand new shopping center (...yes, I became a slight shopaholic), I had a wonderful job as an elementary school teacher, was close to all my friends and family, and worked out at a place that had become my second home. So what on EARTH would drive me to move my entire life up north to Oklahoma?...and not just Oklahoma, but Elk City, Oklahoma? Well, my friends, that would be a little friend I like to call my Fiancé. He's pretty special, I guess. ;) We've been dating since we were 17, and 6 years later the boy FINALLY popped the question and I said yes! But I'm sure you've figured that out by now. I'm ENGAGED to the most amazing man I know, and now here I am in Elk City working on planning a wedding and a life with my future hubby! So anywho, Ryan (that's his name) is in the oil biz out here which is actually a pretty good business to be in if you didn't already know (I know I know...duh)! So, let me continue, since our wedding is April 7, 2012 I wasn't going to be able to start teaching a new school year back home because I would have to leave and move in April...anddd as a teacher that just wasn't going to happen. Therefore, as if you haven't figured it out, BADA BING BADA BOOM, HERE I AM ELK CITY! Living in a beautiful 3 bedroom duplex with my dog and my hard working fiancé.

My objectives here in Elk City are as follows:
**Objective 1: Plan my WEDDING! I have until April PEOPLE, and that's NOT that far away! And did I mention that we're getting married back home in McKinney, Texas? So from 300 miles away, I'm going to attempt to plan the most FABULOUS day of my life
**Objective 2: Survive Oklahoma...Life is completely different in this neck of the woods. So how am I going to do it, you might ask? ...Not a clue. You'll learn just as I do.
**Objective 3: Teach ZUMBA! If you couldn't tell by the picture, I'm a dancer and have become absolutely obsessed with a the salsa fitness workout called Zumba. I'm a licensed instructor and LOVE watching people shake their THANGS when Zumba'ing! :)
**Objective 4..ish: Um....plan my wedding....and survive the small town life in Oklahoma. Have I mentioned that already? Yea, well, we'll see how this goes.
